Gail R. Galang, Ph.D., RPsy, LPT, is a licensed psychologist, educator, and peace advocate dedicated to promoting mental well-being, resilient families, and a culture of peace.
She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University. She completed her Ph.D. in Child and Family Studies at Miriam College and pursued further studies in Women and Development at the University of the Philippines Open University.
Dr. Galang serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Peace Education and Chair of the Undergraduate Psychology Program at Miriam College Alviera.
Her work in peace education focuses on fostering empathy, compassion, nonviolent communication, and responsible citizenship through education and community engagement. She has represented Miriam College in local and international peace education initiatives and continues to advance peace through teaching, public speaking, and advocacy.
She is currently the Co-President of Pax Christi Pilipinas, a faith-based peace movement committed to promoting nonviolence, human rights, social justice, and reconciliation through education, advocacy, and grassroots action.
A passionate advocate for mental health, Dr. Galang extends her work beyond the classroom through her social media platform, @docgailgalang. She also practices as a psychotherapist at the ILAW Center and through the NowServing platform, where she supports individuals, couples, and families in their mental health and well-being.
